-A WEEKEND WORKSHOP FOR ARCHITECTS AND INTERIOR DESIGNERS
Introducing
The Experience
Architecture.

Learn how to apply the experience philosophy of the great architects and designers
— in one weekend, without chasing trends.
you've explored everything.
?
When working on a project. You've explored space alternatives, studied the flow in each room, and considered every element to make it unique.
You can feel it — the proposal is finished, but you feel it isn't ready.
So you go back. And back again. You try adding layers, shifting ideas, following what's working elsewhere.
And you still can't name what's missing.
You add. You adjust. You reference. You revise.
Nothing lands.
You're trying to solve a feeling problem
with technical solutions.
You're adding when you should be thinking differently. Nobody ever taught you the actual language that creates that feeling in the first place.
The designers whose work stops you — the ones whose spaces make people feel something they can't forget — aren't more talented. They aren't working with magic. It was always a language.
It's not magic.
It was always
a language.
They're speaking a language
you were never taught.
And languages can be
learned.
-HOW IT ALL STARTED
Let me share with you some of my stories on why I decided to create this movement...
I was sitting in my living room watching World's Greatest Vacation Rentals when the Schartz House stopped me completely. Frank Lloyd Wright used compression and expansion — a tight space that opened into a double height — and I felt it from a distance, through a screen. My heart was full of joy. That's when I knew there was a language I hadn't been taught.
I was in Las Vegas for work. One night we walked the strip and I saw the Bellagio fountain show for the first time. I made my friends stop twice — once going, once coming back. When the water rose to its highest point, my heart expanded with it. I couldn't explain it. A fountain. Not a building. Not a designed space. And it stopped me completely.
I had a free afternoon in New York between expo days. I searched for things to do, and Summit One Vanderbilt popped up on Expedia. Good deal. I went. I wasn't expecting much. And it became one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I felt magical. Like I was floating. The music was angelical. The sunset was stunning.
Three different designers. Three different mediums. One feeling.
Because...
— IN A WORLD FULL OF TRENDS AND FAST VISUALS
something.
!
— WHAT HAPPENED
It got clean. It got minimal. Flat walls, perfect squares, double heights that photograph beautifully and feel like nothing when you're actually standing inside them.
Spaces that look right and leave no mark.
That's what happened when aesthetics became the goal.
—THE ONES WHO GOT IT RIGHT
The creators who changed the way we experience the world worked with layers and texture. With natural light and shadow. With bold rooms and inner gardens and moments of pure awe.
They weren't designing for the camera. They were designing for the body.
They designed experiences. Not just spaces.
Frank Lloyd Wright · John Lautner · James Turrell · Luis Barragán

And that is exactly
what's possible —
when you learn the language.
The feeling of moving through a space.
The moment when light hits a wall
in a way that stops you completely.

-5 lessons covering phenomenology, the science of AWE, real iconic projects, and The Emotional Design Decision framework.
With real examples from iconic projects that changed the way we experience spaces.
2
The
Light

-6 lessons covering light as emotion, natural vs. artificial light, and The Golden Closing Gap concept.
Explored through the work of masters who understood light as a design tool.
3
The
Layers
Understand why layers are what complete the magic of the creative process — and why, without at least three, everything falls flat.
-6 lessons covering the five senses in architecture, materials and memory, and why depth is what makes spaces unforgettable.
Illustrated through projects that prove why depth is what makes spaces unforgettable.

-THE EXPERIENCE ARCHITECTURE
-IT'S LIKE LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE
— STAGE
1
You don't understand
a thing.
At the beginning, you can't hold a conversation. The language feels foreign. You recognize sounds but nothing connects.
— STAGE
2
You start picking up
the vocabulary.
You start to pick up the base points, the basic vocabulary. Slowly you can make phrases. Things begin to click. The language starts to feel like yours.
— STAGE
3
You can hold
the conversation.
And then one day, you realize you can have a complete conversation. Fluently. Naturally.
This is that moment.
The Experience Architecture gives you the foundation —
the way of thinking, the way of doing — and it opens up a whole new world to create and develop unique projects.
This is that moment. The one where everything shifts.
This is
The shift starts here.

the mind behind The Experience Architecture
Melanie Chac
FOUNDER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
My mantra: It's all about the experience!
I'm an architect with 13 years of experience — and my obsession is Feelings!✨. The moment you walk into a space, and you feel something magical, it changes you for good and leaves you in awe.
That feeling is not an accident. It's a language. And most designers were never taught how to speak it.
The Experience Architecture was born from years of passionately studying design and energy — what makes certain spaces stop you completely. From Frank Lloyd Wright's compression and expansion, to James Turrell's relationship with light, to the Bellagio Fountains on a random Tuesday night in Las Vegas, to Summit One Vanderbilt and its breathtaking illusions.
I don't teach trends. I teach you Experiences, how to design from feeling — so your work doesn't just look good, it stays with people's memories.
FAQs
The intention is to show you a new possibility. To think outside the box — but in reality, to give you access to what has already been built, with evidence. To bring back that connection between the mind, the physical world, and feelings.
You can take as much time as you need. Rewatch and reread everything as many times as you want. But your first round is designed to be digested in a weekend.
If you believe that spaces should make people feel something — yes. This workshop is built around a philosophy, not a degree. What matters is how you see the world, not what's on your business card.
You will end up with a new perspective — a seed planted that you are ready to level up your design approach. This is only the beginning of a new movement. Think of the Bauhaus — but with experience. That's the goal.
